Managing Patient Outcomes

IDPN and IPN therapy is not a substitute for intense dietary counseling, including the introduction of oral supplementation. In cases where traditional efforts may fail to improve the patient's serum albumin level above the recommended level of 3.5 g/dL, the introduction of IDPN and IPN becomes an effective method of protein repletion.

Current studies indicate that 10 - 15% of all patients with Chronic Kidney Disease (CKD) are malnourished. Evidence has also shown that patients with a serum albumin level below 3.5 g/dL are at significant risk of increased morbidity and mortality. IDPN and IPN are effective and convenient nutrition therapies for providing dialysis patients with essential and non–essential amino acids.

Prior to the initiation of IDPN and IPN, the DCRX staff will review the clinical data with your staff to determine the most appropriate therapy for each patient. Throughout the treatment, we continue to collect and analyze clinical data and offer our recommendations to maximize the efficacy of the treatment. Through continued monitoring, we are here to support you and your staff in optimizing patient outcomes.

Our goal is to assist you in optimizing the nutritional status of your patients by improving clinical outcomes as well as the health and quality of life of your patients receiving IDPN and IPN.

DCRX Infusion is proud of its reputation of providing quality products and services that increase the quality of life and promote positive patient outcomes.
